Guttation is a natural process where plants release excess water as droplets, a sign of a healthy root system. Drawing on this, the installation reimagines tears the same way as the human condition: a healthy release rather than something to suppress, an invitation to embrace every form of emotional expression. The set design takes place inside a kekkai, a Japanese term for an invisible boundary separating the sacred from the outside world. It evokes the serene atmosphere of a tsubo-niwa, where water cascades into a circular pool drop by drop, completing an unending cycle of gathering and letting go.
